Embrace & Explore:

Couple’s Weekend

Sat 20 - Sun 21 Apr 10h -17h both days

A whole weekend to joyfully dive deeper with your partner, open up new conversations, more creativity and a reconnected sense of togetherness.

Open to couples of all genders, orientations and relationship structures.

Due to its popularity last year, it's returning to Amsterdam this April!

Relationships are wonderful but they are also challenging and can really stretch you. Often we don’t have the space to just explore with our partner and discover new ways of connecting. We get stuck in the same forms of relating, often seeking outside support when things are challenging, rather than a co-creation of a new and deeper way of relating.

This weekend is the perfect opportunity to embrace your partnership with other couples doing the same. Step into a supportive community who are all striving to live a deeper, more creative, more connective life through our relationships.

This weekend will provide you with:

  • The tools to have new and meaningful conversations

  • A space to explore your creative physical connection beyond sexuality

  • The experience of being held by your partner and supported in your own journey

"This weekend gave me a swollen heart full of love, trust, openess, vulnerability, excitement, desire"

- Lente

What will happen?

I am hosting this weekend together with my partner Laurie King, together we will take you through a number of exercises on both days that will give you the tools to explore deeper relating with your partner. This is a space to step into your truth and give yourself permission to be vulnerable and courageous.

On Saturday, we will focus on embodied exploration, how does my body move in relation to this other that I know so well? What more would I like when I consider touch with this person? What more can I ask for?

Alongside this we will create some Authentic Relating methods. These are spaces where you are given direct questions to explore between you and your partner. They are sometimes fun and silly and sometimes a little more challenging. They aim to create a deeper bond and understanding of each other’s internal worlds.

On Sunday, we start with a holding practice. It isn’t often that we are truly held by anyone, where we deeply allow ourselves to take the space to relax and let our nervous systems relax with another, without having to give anything back. It is an amazing experience when we really allow our partner to gift us this: the space to relax against their body. This can feel beautiful for some and really challenging for others. We will gently lead you through the process into the simple but transformative experience.

We end by getting creative together, by making something that holds your relationship at this moment in time. This we will keep as a little surprise. It is important to know that we are creating something this weekend that will sustain your connection into the future.

The two of us bring together a knowledge of embodied relating, intimacy  work and authentic relating. Both of us have done extensive training in these fields and have been offering workshops that support others to deepen into their vulnerable and authentic selves.

"Simon & Laurie did a great job. Also lovely to see how they didn’t withhold their own vulnerability. They are a great team!"

- Christian

Who’s running this?

This weekend is being run by myself, Simon Magnus, and Laurie King, we are a couple who facilitate many workshops on relating and intimacy. Being facilitators in these fields means we’ve discovered many different ways to make our relationship deeper and more fulfilling. We’ve decided to create this weekend to bring some of these tools to others.

Laurie is a queer British-Kiwi who’s current home-base is Amsterdam. His passion is creating spaces that cultivate healthy, thriving human-to-human relationships, helping people take off their masks, feel their sensations and celebrate their aliveness on Earth. Since 2019, He has organised and facilitated hundreds of Authentic Relating, Dating and Embodiment workshops in Oceania and Europe. His training includes the Authentic Life Course, and the Connection Institute. He has facilitated at internationally acclaimed festivals such as Stretch, and organisations such as ART International.
